Wellnotes is an AI study app that helps students create revision notes, summaries, flashcards, quizzes and mind maps from lessons, imported files, audio recordings and YouTube video transcriptions.
Users can generate notes from supported files, lesson attachments, audio recordings and YouTube links. Supported file types include GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, WEBP, PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS and XLSX.
Files are stored only when the user intentionally asks Wellnotes to generate notes from them, such as through “New Notes > Import a File” or “New Notes > Create a Lesson” with an attachment. Files attached in chat feedback are stored for support purposes only.
Audio can be processed to generate notes, but the original audio file is not stored after processing.
Wellnotes can generate notes from a YouTube video by extracting the relevant transcript. The YouTube video file itself is not stored on Wellnotes servers.
Wellnotes uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to manage accounts and link generated content to a user identifier.
Wellnotes uses Amplitude and Firebase Analytics for usage analytics. On iOS, Adjust can be used for ad attribution when ATT permission is granted. Ads may use AdMob and AppLovin.
